That Choir invites professional singers of all gender expressions, ethnicities and physical abilities to audition for their 2023-24 season. We respect, champion and uplift underrepresented voices; and we strongly welcome and encourage those who self-identify as coming from underrepresented communities to submit.

Founded in 2008 by conductor Craig Pike, That Choir is a professional ensemble and is one of Toronto’s most exciting a cappella groups, combining high-calibre performance with storytelling through choral music.

Each season, That Choir presents a three-concert series of contemporary a cappella choral works, undertakes a range of professional development projects, and engages in many outreach opportunities.

That Choir now operates under the newly formed That Arts Group (TAG). TAG is a dynamic, storytelling organization celebrating the boundless possibilities of what can happen when community, diversity, equity and inclusivity is put into the core of creation.

Interested applicants are invited to submit a one-page resume of recent choral and solo experience.

Applicants invited for an in-person audition will be expected to prepare one accompanied and one unaccompanied selection.

Auditions will take place in Toronto on Saturday, August 19th 2023.
An accompanist will be provided or applicants may bring their own accompanist at their own cost.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS WILL BE Friday, August 11th. 

Successful singers will be paid at a rate of $35/hr for both rehearsals and performances and will be given a competitive benefits package which will include but not limited to coverage for dental, mental health and prescription drugs.
